iI you love old-school, riff-centered doom metal, and your heart yearns for grand tales of adventure, it's about time you gave Lord Mountain a listen!! Excellent lead guitar and rythm section! Stephan
Another party that I showed up late to. I see the spliffs are still burning in the ashtray, though. And the drinks are still cold. So I guess I'm not that late. Unchained, caveman Prog/Stoner/Proto Metal. Rough, busy, and driving. The kind of riffs you and your buds can make faces at each other while listening to them. The kind of solos that eat you for breakfast. The kind of music you want at your next work Xmas party. The kind of band you want to set up in your backyard. Wah University Alums. Nerve Salad
Hailing from the last decade; here we have some good, solid Stoner Rock with a healthy dose of Grunge. Not sure how I missed this one when it came out but am glad I’ve got it now. They sound very generic of the bands from that era but it’s a retro-ish type of sound that I like. Maybe early Planet of Zeus. Any-hooos; it super addictive stuff that becomes more enjoyable with each listen. Harry Harrison
Produced by Converge's Kurt Ballou, the metal band's fourth LP channels tragic, transcendental themes into fierce progressive sludge metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 28, 2024
Bunsenburner works from a base of stoner metal but expands far past it, incorporating long, searching, searing jams. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 12, 2023
Forming the Void set a prestigious precedent for themselves with this release, which they (somehow) surpassed with their sophomore release Relic. Skyward brings the psychedelic sludge and mad-riffage I simply can not get enough of. Arrogant Bastard
